THE WINE ADVOCATE #186 – DEC. 2009 - Antonio Galloni

The NV Brut Cuvee de Reserve (89 points) is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir from the 2002 and 2003 vintages. The wine shows lovely freshness and minerality in a focused style, with an energetic finish. This, too, is a beautifully balanced wine ideal for near-term drinking. This bottle was disgorged in May, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012. Drink: 2009 - 2012

The 1999 Brut Millesime Prestige (88 points) is a big, ripe Champagne loaded with ripe fruit and elements of toastiness. The Prestige offers good complexity in a more obvious style than the Seduction. The Prestige is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir and was disgorged in August, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015. Drink: 2009 - 2015

The 1999 Brut Seduction (89 points) reveals excellent length and vibrancy in a mid-weight, focused style that blossoms on the palate, revealing attractive inner perfume and fine, chalky tannins that frame the long finish. The 1999 Seduction is 55 % Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, and was disgorged in December, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014. Drink: 2009 - 2014

The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs (88 points) is a pretty, accessible Champagne with excellent overall balance and a soft, round finish that makes it a good candidate for drinking over the next few years. This bottle was disgorged in January, 2009 and is 100% Chardonnay from the 2002 vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012. Drink: 2009 - 2012

Guide HACHETTE des VINS 2008

Séduction 1999 brut : Its richness on the nose mixes notes of toasted bread, brioche, ginger bread and a woody hint. This complexity remains in the mouth, with a long lasting and well balanced palate.

Rosé brut : intense, vinous and fresh, tinted with strawberry and blackberry notes, it deserves a nice star.

Cuvée de Réserve brut: A fresh champagne, with flower aromas mixed with more mature notes of coffee and praline.
